The New Earth Diet, Eat to Enlighten Yourself 2025 240 pg by Toni Toney Chap. 1 The Illusion of Separation. A few decades ago she was very sick in the hospital with a low white blood cell count. The Drs. had no cure or diagnosis. She went into a sleep and a trance and believed an angel visited her and told her your problem is that you have an illusion that you are separate from God and nature; If you focus on your breath, you will live. She did that and when she woke up the next morning, she felt better and the tech did another blood test and found that her white blood cell count was now fine. Then she rejoiced at her healing. A few hrs. after that, a friend came in and told her about how Hippocrates healed the sick with good food and being in balance with nature. The friend also told her about Pasteur’s associate, A. Bechamp who had an Internal Terrain Theory. This theory held that if the body is healthy and balanced, germs do not usually survive. Bacteria are everywhere and grow off waste products. When the body is threatened by toxic material, human waste products or acid conditions, unhealthy bacteria can grow. Pasteur believed that the internal of our body is sterile and that harmful microbes invade the body from the outside and are the main problem of disease(the germ theory). This changed Toni’s perspective and diet and led to research on healthier diets. Her research found that modern day diets high in animal proteins, dairy and junk foods lead to acid conditions and low grade acidosis. An optimum pH for blood and body fluids is 7.35-7.4 Lower pH also can lead to less aerobic and more anaerobic conditions. Today chemical pollutants are widespread and more concentrated higher up the food chain. In a study of newborns 287 different pollutants were found in the blood of their umbilical cords., p 18. Early man and even her grandparents had gardens and ate from there, and were more at one with nature. Pasteur believed that the interior of the body is somewhat sterile fixed. He thought the cell was the basic unit of life and that harmful microbes invade the body from the outside causing sickness and diseases. We are the prey and germs the predators. This is known today at the germ theory. However, Bechamp believed that disease can be born in us and of us and microscopic entities within each cell had the ability to change form, depending on their environment. He called these entities microzymas, some of which are harmful. Some microzymas were found in limestone 60 million yrs ago. He also found these in tissues and blood of all living organisms. Under bad conditions, and acid pH, harmful organisms like viruses, fungi and yeast multiply and cause disease. Under good conditions they do not grow in our body. This was the internal terrain theory, p 7 Bechamp said-‘All living beings carry within themselves the elements for health or disease, for life or for death Chap. 2 Our Body our Earth. The Early Greeks knew of 4 elements: Earth, Fire, Air and Water. We came from dust and water. We are 75% oxygen, 18%, carbon, 10% hydrogen, 3% nitrogen, 2% calcium, 1% phosphors. The healthy blood and interstitial PH is 7.35-.45 and good for Oxygenated blood; at below, 6.5 leads to low oxygen and diseases. Sputum pH varies a lot, but is best when also alkaline. In lakes, fertilizer grows algae and causes acid pH and dead fish due to low oxygen. Unnatural feeding of lakes and our bodies can cause acid pH and diseases. Organic PO4s are found in meat, EGGS, and dairy; inorganic PO4s are found in food additives In Sodas, Baked goods, processed meats, and junk foods. Candida is a yeast found in our bodies, that grows more in acid and low oxygen conditions and causes many infections, see p 28. including oral thrush. She tells of a test for it- on waking spit in clear glass of water and let it stand. If present, string-like fibers will grow, pg 29
down from the surface; this occurs some with diabetes, and his 80/10/10 diet high in fruit will avoid the problems. If one eats a lot of animal fat, it coats one’s cells and prevents sugar, via insulin, getting to one’s cells, p 32. Some Drs. think cancer is also a fungus, and helped to heal by a healthy diet. Animal fat also builds cholesterol and hardening of arteries, p 35-6 According to the NHI, fungal
infections have become more common in the last 2 decades. Chap. 3 How to create an alkaline body. Our bodies are made of trillions of cells and 2 fluids- blood and lymph( twice the amount of blood). Dr. Morse says lymphatic congestion causes most diseases and this happens when the kidneys are overloaded with waste. Electrolytes are important. Minerals to electrolytes; 4 Main: Na, K, Ca, Mg.:Plant foods high in Na: Celery, beet, spinach, broccoli, Radish, sweet pot., kale, brussel sprouts, turnip; high in K: bananas, avocados, dried fruits, raisins, Apricots, spinach, broc., cantalope, orange, tomatoes, lentils, beans; Ca foods: Dark green leafy veg, broc., kale, boc choy, lentils, oranges, seaweed, molasses, nuts and seeds, chia; High in Mg: Spinach, swiss chard, collards, quinola, black beans, lima beans, green peas, chia, almonds, papaya, dark chocolate(70-85% cocoa). Ca is good many functions and for bones and Mg is good for nerves, relaxation and sleep. Chap. 4 Food Chain: producers = Plants and trees; reducer organisms= decomposers- yeasts, candida, fungi parasites; Primary Consumer organisms: 1 Herbivores= deer and cows, bees, grasshoppers, 2. Frugivores” Humans and primates eat fruit, nuts, seeds, green leaves; Secondary consumers: 3. Carnivores= wolves, cats, owls, vultures, eat mainly herbivores,; 4. Omnivores= pigs, bears, chickens, many birds and fish can eat both plants and animals. Our bodies MICROBIOME: our bodies typically have 39 trillion microbial cells including bacteria, viruses, and fungi. Some of the oldest life on earth is microbial. When in proper balance, these microbes are mostly beneficial. Then we may ask where do I get my protein? Fruit and vegetables do have adequate protein. Mothers milk has only 2% protein. She then gave tables on protein on pg. 80-81 per cup: Dates= 3.6 gm., guava=4.2 gm, pomegranate =4.7 gm. ,passion fruit=5.19 gm, Vegetables: broccoli=3.7gm, brussels sprouts= 3.98 gm, potatoes=4.3 gm, swiss chard= 3.3 gm. French beans =12.4 gm., Artichoke =3.47 gm.
Chap.5 Eating FOR YOUR Anatomical Type. It may sound radical that we are frugivores, but there some good arguments for it. Gen. 1:29 : “I give you every seed bearing plant-and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be your food.” Early man was likely In a warm climate with plenty of fruit and vegetables . We are most similar to chimps (in DNA and in physiology) and their diet is 68% fruit, 11% leaves, 7% seeds, 2% flowers. They rarely eat animal flesh, but they may have a few insects. On pg 75-6 she gave charts of the 4 consumer types . Our bodies are designed with teeth and digestive system, and elimination system is like that of a chip. Over time our bodies were allowed to eat more meat and this became a convenient habit. As we moved into cites away from plants and fruit trees, we adapted to eating more meat. You will likely agree we are physiologically more like chimps than we are like, chickens, pigs or dogs which are classed as Omnivores which eat some meat.
Chap.6 Dietary Devolution. Dr. Duffy of Harvard wrote we have changed from fruit based alkaline diet to a more animal based acidic diet of omnivores, also with cereal grains. This increases Ca loss from bones and less oxygen transfer to cells. An author in Athens, GR wrote in 530-480 BC the average age of man was 200 yrs. Another wrote in Athens in 46-120 AD people were largely fruit eaters. Today there many toxic chemicals included in our foods, and this higher when eating animals and meats. Processed meats like bologna, have added nitrates that are unhealthy, and can contribute to cancers. Cows are fed pesticide laced grains, drugs and hormones. Pasteurization of milk destroys enzymes and some nutrients, and vitamins C, B6,B12. Milk has 2 different proteins; A1, A2 ; now milk in the US is only A1, which is less healthy and can aid some disease, and constipation and tooth decay. p 99. also making the Ca less available. Pesticide residues in waxes or fruits and vegies are difficult to wash off with water ? One can buy a simple wax remover spray to remove this. A widely used herbicide organophosphate is Roundup and it’s toxic and goes throughout the plant. It causes a fungi Fusarium to grow and form mycotoxins. This can disrupt our useful bacteria and our endocrine system. Many foods are now strongly irradiated and this destroys most of their nutrients and enzymes. Many crops are GMO genetically modified, and the health effects of these are not well known. In 1966 The FDA approved Olestra with a brand name Olean, as a fat substitute. It is indigestabel and depletes our fat soluble vitamins, A,D,E,K. It was used in Pringles. A fast food diet with junk foods have many unhealthy compounds and a lack of nutrients, p. 112 Chap. 7 the Greeks 4 Fuel Groups: Earth, Air, Water and Fire. The author reinterprets these as Earth= Plants we eat, Air– What we breathe, Fire=the sunlight we absorb, and Vitamin D; Water= the water we drink.
Plants: Plants in their raw form have light energy and phytochemicals beyond the old paradigm of fats, calories, carbohydrates, and proteins. She quotes several Drs. “We’er still learning about phytochemicals(PC); the science is ongoing; but they may help fight cancer and heart disease.” “A plant based diet strengthens your immune system to protect you against germs and gives your body what it needs to fight off infections.”p 123-4 “Antioxidants in plants reduce inflammation.” Here are a few phytocheimcals in plants: Allicin in garlic and onions blocks certain toxins from bacteria and viruses. Anthocyanins in red and blue fruits like raspberries and blueberries, slow aging and protect against heart disease and tumors, and fight inflammation. Bioflavonoids in citrus fruits; Carotenoids have antioxidants in dark yellow, orange and deep green fruits and vegetables, tomatoes, spinach, oranges; Polyphenols found in fruits an vegetables wine, olive oil, green tea onions, apples, kale, beans.; Indoles found in broccoli, bok choy, cabbage, kale, brussel sprouts. P. 125,6, 149 lists more of these foods. Raw fruits and vegetables are electrical in nature. For one can place DC voltmeter probes on an apple and get a voltage. When its rotten or cooked there is no voltage. The millions of cells that make up our cells, tissues and organs are electrical, as are the mitochondria Dr. Mores said “ when you eat foods picked fresh from nature, their electromagnetic energy is transferred to your body and cells.” Our bodies when resting have enough electrical energy to power a 100 watt light bulb,p 128. Then she goes on to give some vegetarian diet plans which sound very extreme,p 132-145. She says you can try them gradually. She favors at least 50% of the diet is raw fruits and vegies. A good start is to make smoothies in a blender with the high PC ones.
AIR: We breath in O2 and release CO2.Our lung transfer the O2 to our blood hemoglobin and then to our cells. Some health problems can be due to shallow upper chest breathing; Slow diaphragmatic breathing to all lung lobes is best; it lowers blood pressure and stress and promotes relaxation and efficient O2 transfer. Anxiety, stress and asthma are promoted by shallow upper chest breathing. Slow, deep breathing promotes health and can change your blood pH from acid to alkaline, p 154. Breathe through our nose and up to a 8 sec. cycle with 2 sec. for the inhale, 1 for the hold and 5-6 sec for the exhale. On the inhale you may see your tummy puff out. My note: I’m expert in this as was a respiratory therapist. She recommends jumping on a mini trampoline as the jumping aids the movement of lymph as does other exercise and deep breathing. Gen.2:7 ”Then the Lord God formed the man out of the dust from the ground and breathed the breath of life into his nostrils, and the man became a living being.” God healed the author by breathing as in Chap. 1
Fire-Energy- Sun: Our mitochondria have the ability to convert sunlight into energy, increasing our ATP levels; sunlight gives us vitamin D. That’s why its important to take vitamin D supplements in the winter, when we do into get much sun. Dr. Holich, an expert on vitamin D, notes low vitamin D is linked to many diseases and good levels of D lessens cancer risks. Sunlight exposure increases our white blood cell count and helps fight infections and viruses, p. 163. Still too much sunlight is unwise and can cause sunburn and even skin cancer. Thus she suggests morning exposure at 9 AM of late afternoon. Dr Bryan states that nitric oxide(NO) promotes oral health and overall health. Using antiseptic mouth washes and fluoride kills good oral flora that produce some NO. UVB light is beneficial in produce Vitamin D in the body and healthy bacteria. UVA and VUB is found in sunlight. Some sunscreens are toxic and block UVB light. Red, yellow and orange fruits and vegies contain carotenoids and citrus fruits contain limonene that reduces skin cancer and UVA skin damage.p 170 Water. Water makes up[ 75% of our bodies and drinking healthy water is important. Some municipal tap water has unhealthy trace chemicals. The author thinks fluoride and chlorine is also unhealthy. She favors Mountain Valley Spring water that has filters to remove some chemicals and is sold in glass bottles. She also recommends Spring Aqua technology which filters water, adds Hydrogen to water and makes it slightly alkaline like the famous Lourdes Spring water in France. My note: this technology is expensive; there are less expensive water filters that filter out some contaminates and make water alkaline. There are Mg. pills that quickly dissolve in water and add hydrogen gas, which said to be oxidizing, making water alkaline with MG(OH)2 and healthy. These are available on Amazon. Amazon.com: NUISM H2 Hydrogen Water Tablets – Molecular Hydrogen Tablets for Drinking Water with Magnesium, 12 PPM Antioxidant for Muscle Recovery, Cellular Energy, Metabolism, Hydration, Brain & Gut Health 90ct : Health & Household Can add 1.5 ppm of H2 to water, one can test the pH.
The process relies on a reduction-oxidation reaction that occurs when elemental magnesium metal (Mg) comes into contact with water (H2O). The core reaction yields molecular hydrogen gas (H2) and magnesium hydroxide (Mg(OH)2), following the balanced equation: Mg + 2H2O → Mg(OH)2 + H2. The goal of this reaction is the release of H2 gas, which dissolves into the liquid, creating hydrogen water. The magnesium hydroxide by product is a slightly alkaline compound that dissolves minimally, resulting in a slightly elevated pH compared to the starting water. . The container can be sealed to prevent the newly formed hydrogen gas from escaping, ensuring effective saturation.

The author also suggests adding lemon juice to ones water if you like. She also suggests a salt detox bath using Celtic Sea salt, or a foot bath with sea salt.
Addendum: She summarizes some essential principles about food. 1. Consume Whole Organic Plant Foods. These foods contain a synergy of nutrients, enzymes, and bio-active compounds that work together to promotes health. These foods promote oxygenation and alkalization to reduce inflammation and increase vitality. You will enjoy exploring new flavor and cuisines that are free of chemicals and pesticides. 2. Eat lots of Raw Living Plant Foods. The contain life energy and helpful enzymes that are catalysts for chemical reactions in cells; These enzymes aid digestion , but are deactivated when heated above 118F, as in boiling , steaming, baking. To start with these, make smoothies in a blender. In salads use dressings made from olive oil, lemon, and avocado. Also try sprouts of Broccoli, mung beans, and sunflower seeds. 3. Use organic Produce only. They are free of harmful pesticides that can harm your health. They are higher in concentrations of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. This is documented in the book The invisible Power Within Foods by W. Danzer. This farming is more protective of the soil and environment. GMO crops are avoided. Also support local farmers markets. 4. Favor Locally Grown, Seasonal Foods. Foods grown close to home are fresher and fuller of vitamins. Non seasonal foods are shipped and stored longer. And are likely to have preservatives. 5. Eat the Right Type of Salt, Oil and Sugar. Regular salt , NaCl may have anti-calking agents, iodine and fluoride. Use natural unrefined Sea salt. It has electrolytes and useful trace elements. Regular processed vegetable oils have oxidized omega-6 fatty acids and can contribute to inflammation. Use organic cold pressed olive oil. Use it sparingly as its high in fat. Refined sugar is stripped of its natural minerals and nutrients; and has been linked to obesity, insulin resistance. There are better plant based sugars, like raw agave, or coconut nectar and whole fruits. 6. Proper food Combining. Eat certain foods at different Times. One needs to separate carbohydrate rich foods like rice, potatoes and bananas for protein rich foods like beans; They require different enzymes, and acid is better for proteins. Also separate fruits with fats, like nuts or avocados. Fats can accumulate and contribute to insulin resistance. To succeed make small changes and improvements to your diet. Replace comfort foods with healthier versions, like granola bars, fruits, and soups.
