Live the Let Go Life 2017 by Joseph Prince, J. Tofflemire
Intro: People who are under high stress often often engage in unhealthy behaviors to cope. Stress can lessen our immunity and lead to many diseases. The many demands on our life can also lead to stress, but God’s grace has ample supply. This book will teach you how to let God’s grace flow freely and let go of anxieties. Thus the title of this book. Many people have had healing breakthroughs using the books techniques to trust God and have more peace. Chap. 1 Let Go. We may have many demands on us, but we need to hit the pause button and let go. Ps. 46:10 “Be still and know I am God.” There are books on decluttering the outside but we also need to do the inside. 1Peter 5:7 “casting all your care on Him, because He cares about you.” The AMP says casting all your cares all your anxieties, all your worries, and all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares about you [with deepest affection, and watches over you very carefully]. Luke 12:25 “Can any of you add an hour to the length of your life by worrying?” Our worry can constrict God’s flow of grace. Prince has had visions of this principle. Thus our part is to let go and let God. Chap. 2 Rom. 10:11 AMP “For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him [whoever adheres to, trusts in, and relies on Him] will not be disappointed [in his expectations].” Matt. 6:25 “This is why I tell you: Don’t worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food and the body more than clothing?” When we worry we are saying, I’ve got this, when we let go, we are saying God, you’ve got this. Matt .6:26 “Look at the birds of the sky: They don’t sow or reap or gather into barns, yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you worth more than they?”The devil wants you to worry and restrict Gods flow of grace. Ps.91:1-4 The one who lives under the protection of the Most High dwells in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.” He Himself will deliver you from the hunter’s net, from the destructive plague. He will cover you with His feathers; you will take refuge under His wings. His faithfulness will be a protective shield.”god paid for your redemption with the blood of his Son. That is how much He loves you. The degree to which we worry is directly related to how much we believe we are loved by the Father. Jer. 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you”-this is the Lord’s declaration-“plans for your welfare, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Prince gives testimonies of throes who were blessed by letting go. Chap. 3 Not to Worry Prince had vision of and expanded view of Matt. 6:25-34 “This is why I tell you: Don’t worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food and the body more than clothing?” Many illnesses can be traced back to stress, hypertension, heart problems, ulcers and even cancer. People may be stressed but not be that aware of it. A survey showed stress increased considerably from 2000 to 2010. They also feel more irritable, angry, anxious, fatigued and depressed.p31. The vision included God’s care about our overall health and quality of life. Isa. 53:5 “But He was pierced because of our transgressions, crushed because of our iniquities; punishment for our peace was on Him, and we are healed by His wounds.” Jesus can restore our health and wholeness. Luke 1:37 “For nothing will be impossible with God.” I no longer worry, but I cast my cares on Him and receive His favor. He gave a testimony of a Prince follower who was healed of skin problems by casting his cares on Jesus. Chap. 4 How not to Worry Prince tells the story of him worrying about his daughters health. She would get some minor sicknesses, and his prayers did not seam to be working. He asked the Lord, and felt he was told that you are putting a big button over her that the devil can push; You need to release the worries to the Lord. He did release it, and then she got much better. The root of the word worry means to strangle. Grace flows to an area when you stop worrying about it and give it to the Lord. Worrying restricts God’s flow of grace to and area. Matt. 6:24 “Therefore don’t worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” He gave testimonies of parishioners doing this with good results. Chap. 5 The Rhythm of Rest Are you keeping a tempo that is healthy and sustainable? Or one that leaves you ragged and drained? Ps. 91:16 “I will satisfy him with a long life and show him My salvation.” Beloved your heavenly Father loves you. Zech. 2:8, Rom. 8:31 Come to Jesus and he will give you rest. Matt.11:28-30 “Come to Me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. All of you, take up My yoke and learn from Me, because I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for yourselves. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” This rest is physical, emotional and spiritual. Isa. 30:15 “ For thus says the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel: In returning and rest you shall be saved; in quietness and in confidence shall be your strength.” Don’t join the frantic race. Race cars go at high speeds but the engines have to be replaced at 6000 miles. Diesel trucks engines are made for the long haul and go 600,000 miles. Isa. 28:16 therefore this is what the Lord God[a] says: “Look! I am laying a foundation stone in Zion, a tested stone, a precious cornerstone for a sure foundation:
Whoever believes firmly will not act hastily.” The first bible word for rest is Nuwach Gen. 8:4, Exo. 20:11 and Gen 6:8 for Noah’s name. It also means respiring for drawing breath. Research show slow deep breathing is very relaxing. Chap 6. Walking in Grace The Lord Jesus wants to give you rest that passes all understanding. Jesus was always restful, never hurried. Toe walk in grace we need to abide in the vine as in John 15:4-5 “Remain in Me, and I in you. Just as a branch is unable to produce fruit by itself unless it remains on the vine, so neither can you unless you remain in Me. “I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in Me and I in him produces much fruit, because you can do nothing without Me.” When we abide in Him we have restful increase. 1 John 4:17 love is perfected with us-, for we are as He is in this world. So declare as he is, so am I in this world. He more you sit under anointed teaching that lifts your up, the more fruit you will bear. Jesus often retreated in prayers to recharge. Chap. 7 Rest Brings God’s Blessings The bible says God rested from the work he had done on the 7thday Gen. 2:2-3 “By the seventh day God completed His work that He had done, and He rested on the seventh day from all His work that He had done. God blessed the seventh day and declared it holy, for on it He rested from His work of creation:” So rest is Holy and if he rested we also need to. This is also one of the 10 commands. Exo. 20:8-11 “Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy: You are to labor six days and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God. You must not do any work—you, your son or daughter, your male or female slave, your livestock, or the foreigner who is within your gates. For the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and everything in them in six days; then He rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and declared it holy.” In Exo. 31 death was the penalty for this violation. However, we are no longer under the Law of Moses, but the new covenant. Israel observes the Sabbath on Saturdays, stating Friday night sundown to Saturday night. Now our sabbath is Sunday, as Jesus rose on Sunday and this is when the new christian church met, Acts 20:7 pg84 In Gen. 1:5 evening comes before morning on the 1st day. God want’s our day to begin with rest. The Jews set the day apart for physical rest, relationships, worship, thanksgiving and celebration. It’s not about doing nothing, but worshiping God and fellowship together(family and church). Although Jews are only 0.2 % of the population, they are 20% of the Nobel laureates. Christ is the true sabbath. Col. 2:16-17 “Therefore, don’t let anyone judge you in regard to food and drink or in the matter of a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day. These are a shadow of what was to come; the substance is the Messiah.” Mark 2:27 “Then He told them, “The Sabbath was made for man and not man for the Sabbath.” Rest is not inactivity; its activity directed by the spirit of God. For Crops a 7th yrs rest is good Lev. 25:20-22, and in the desert, God provided a double portion of manna for the sabbath rest, Exo. 16:29 Rest brings continued blessings. Chap. 8 Have a Throne Attitude. Ps. 110:1 “This is the declaration of the Lord to my Lord: “Sit at My right hand
until I make Your enemies Your footstool.” Heb. 10:12-13 “But this man, after offering one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God. He is now waiting until His enemies are made His footstool.” At the cross Jesus conquered the enemies of sin, depression, poverty, and premature death. He also seated us with Christ Eph. 2:6 “Together with Christ Jesus He also raised us up and seated us in the heavens,” We don’t have to fight our enemies; The Lord has already given us victory. The Bible tells us to labor to enter the rest, Heb. 4:11 God is bigger than our Giants, Num. 13:31-33 Heb 4:1 “Therefore, while the promise to enter His rest remains, let us fear that none of you should miss it.” Place your confidence not in what you see, but in what God has promised. Isa. 54 tells us to sing and praise the Lord. Don’t wait until you have seen His results. Chap 9 Tune into Peace In the case of the woman healed by touching Jesus garment, he actually told her- go into Peace, not go in peace- in Mark 5:34. She was not at peace before her healing, and for her healing to remain permanent, she needed to stay in peace, pg 117. He is also inviting us to step out of the place of fear, worry and anxiety into the realm of peace. John 14:25-27 I have spoken these things to you while I remain with you. But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit-the Father will send Him in My name -will teach you all things and remind you of everything I have told you. “Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Your heart must not be troubled or fearful.” Phil. 4:6-7 “Don’t worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses every thought, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.” That means instead of being stressed or anxious, you can ask the holy Spirit to teach you how to handle your situation. Isa., 55:3, 11-12 “Pay attention and come to Me; listen, so that you will live.–so My word that comes from My mouth will not return to Me empty, but it will accomplish what I please
and will prosper in what I send it to do.” You will indeed go out with joy
and be peacefully guided;” The holy spirit teaches us by the absence of presence of peace. Prince give a testimony of this, follow only decisions that give you peace. Col. 3:15 “And let the peace of the Messiah, to which you were also called in one body, control your hearts. Be thankful.” Often many Christians listen to the news headlines, or their situation, or doctors bad reports and let that and worries rule their hearts. Do you know what is better that a divine healing? It is to live in divine health. It is easier to remain at peace and thankful and to immediately ban and solve any problem at the start, than to heal it when its a full blown illness. God’s best for us is to walk in His divine health and remain there. My example- I have somewhat chronic problem with dry mouth and getting cavities and many fillings. But with frequent prayer for good teeth and taking daily preventive steps, I have been able to ward off any problems for 7 months. The Dentist said if have 5 bad teeth that need pulling 6 months ago. Some had occasional pain, and I have quickly prayed that away. Now I have gone 4 months with no pain. To me that seams a miracle. I have also have had chronic eye secretions and tears for many yrs. I used eye drops and cleaning frequently. With prayer by a church healer, Mary, and my own daily prayers, the problem is now largely in remission for several months now, another miracle. With all my health care, I try to listen and follow the Holy spirit’s guide. Chap 10. Shalom Peace. The word Jesus actually used in John 14:27 was Shalom which is welfare, health, prosperity, and peace. Peace can be multiplied as in 2 Peter 1:2 “May grace and peace be multiplied to you through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.” If we don’t have peace, its because we allow our heart to be troubled. See Matt.13:22 “Now the one sown among the thorns-this is one who hears the word, but the worries of this age – choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.: ‘Grace and peace’ go together and Paul often began his letters with this salutation. Prince says we need to make a game of(hot potato) with this and when ever we have an anxious or worry thought say- I let not my heart to be troubled and cast it to the Lord. Then the devil has no access to your peace. He gave a testimony of some healings for people who followed his teachings and did this. Chap.11 Guard Your Heart Phil. 4:6-7 “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with gratitude, make your requests known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will protect(guard) your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”Prince say this is similar to Eph. 6:18 the prayer is in the spirit. He gave a testimony of a member who got great peace and healing by praying in the spirit. Jesus can give you peace that is unaffected by outside circumstances. If its a miracle you need, a miracle you will get, if you remain in peace. He gives the example of Peter in Acts 12:5-8 He was in chains in prison, likely to be executed, but he slept and and angel awakened him removing his chains, as his friends prayed for him. Jesus also slept in a boat in a stormy sea, until his disciples woke him in Matt. 8:24 Col. 3:15 “Let the peace of the Messiah also rule in your hearts, to which you were called in one body, and be thankful.” Prov 4:20-23 “My son, pay attention to my words, and listen closely to what I say. Do not let them out of your sight; keep them within your heart. For they are life to those who find them, and healing to their whole body. Above everything else guard your heart, because from it flow the springs of life.” Speak Shalom even when things look bad; He gave the example of the Shunammite woman in 2 Kings 4 who only spoke Shalom when her son was dead, until Elisha healed him. Isa. 53:5 “But He was pierced because of our transgressions, crushed because of our iniquities; punishment for our peace was on Him, and we are healed by His wounds.” Chap. 12 Peace in our Conscience We need peace in our conscience to receive fully what the Lord has for us. Heb. 10:10 “By this will of God, we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once and for all.” Rom. 8:31 37 “If God is for us, who is against us?- in all these things we are more than victorious through Him who loved us.” Nothing can separate us from the love of Christ. Rom 5:1-2 “Therefore, since we have been declared righteous by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. We have also obtained access through Him by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.” Prince give several testimonies of God healing those with faith. Let’s have greater faith in God’s promises to protect us than in the negative reports. Isa 26:3 “You will keep the mind that is dependent on You
in perfect peace, for it is trusting in You”
