Ross Beyond the Cosmos

Ross, H. Beyond the Cosmos, Signalman Publishing, Orlando, Fl 2010

More than 3 dimensions plus time is hard to conceive of. A basketball can be turned inside out as an example.  Einstein’s theory of general relativity has been confirmed. Binary stars – neutron stars and pulsars helped confirm.p.25  Einstein rings also observed- combination of a quasar and galaxy. P.27 Lense-Thirring effect: the spin of a massive star will generate a space-time curvature has been confirmed- black hole and neutron star binaries, and for Sagittarius A super black hole at the center of our galaxy. P33 Time can be defined as a dimension along which cause and effect phenomena occur. But the creator is beyond time or may use another dimension of it. Some causes and effects before the universe are in the bible.

Physicists have been working on unified field theories to mathematically unite the 4 forces of physics. P32 Einstein added the 4th dimension of time to unify his theory. The weak nuclear force and the electromagnetic force have been unified and 6 quarks found in the 1990’s. p35 String theory with 10 dimensions had been proposed to unify all the forces. Strings are like rotating vibrating elastic bands that behave like points, because of their small size. A very small extremal black hole has been noted that becomes so small that it may change to energy.  Some information about this may by in event horizons or in extra dimensions. P37  Ross gave 6 evidences for strings and an appendix. P38.   Hawking noted this may be related to quantum fluctuations as very small particles can to energy and back to mass at very minute times.  Large black how have been observed spinning at a rapid rate. P230.

It is theorized that the forming cosmos at 10-43 sec. had a split in dimensions of the 10 into 6 and 4 (l,w,h, time)  The 4 continued to expand while the 6 are curled up and dispersed in the universe p40.  The is the uncertainty principle of not being able to measure all properties of very small particles that can change to waves in quantum mechanics.p.45  At 10-35 sec. the universe did under go a brief  very rapid hyper-expansion. P46  Godle established the mathematical incompleteness theorem as some things can’t be rigorously proven. This can also be extended to Physics. Deut. 29:29  “The secret things  belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever”.p50  Heb.11:3 By faith we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command, so that what is seen was not made out of what was visible.  Prov. 8:22-23 “The LORD brought me forth as the first of his works, before his deeds of old;  I was formed long ages ago,  at the very beginning, when the world came to be.  John 17:5 And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began. 24 “Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world. Eph. 1:4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight.  Ross states these and other verses indicate that God made choices and spiritual beings before the creation of the cosmos.  God can operate both within our time frame and beyond it.p51 Time cold be conceived of as being a two dimensional plane.  Jesus walked on water and entered a locked room by passing through the walls. John 20:19 On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jewish leaders, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” He may have had access to extra dimensions. A plane can be rotated to become a line.  With and extra dimension it could be rotated to a point.  An isosceles triangle can be rotated to become a cone and thus like a circle.  Elijah took a ride to heaven in chariot of fire. 2Kings 2; Philip was miraculously transported to another city. Acts 8:26-40; Suns shadow goes backward. Isa. 38:7-8

Contradiction: direct opposition between statements, conclusions, laws, etc. so that it remains impossible for opposing ones to be true. p 61

Paradox: an apparent or seaming contradiction that has the possibility of resolution when examined in various space, time and contextual frames.

Antimony: an opposition or contradiction between statements, conclusions, laws, etc  where both options seem reasonable. Example: Human free will and divine predestination and sovereign God.

Tools for resolving Paradoxes:

  1. Establish the correct frame of reference or points of view
  2. Establish the correct definitions and contexts
  3. Identify correctly the initial and final conditions
  4. Discern the effect of added dimensions and large and small scales

Extra dimensions or going before time can allow other possibilities as God operated then with some causes.  Distance between cities can vary because the globe is a circle and a straight line thru the earth can’t be taken.
